The Education Dept authorities conducted counselling here on July 3 and from 6 to 9, told District Education Officer D. Devananda Reddy.
Stating to The Hindu on Monday, Mr. Reddy told that close to 4,200 teachers requested for transfers in Krishna district. Transfers were done conditionally according to the guidelines planned by the Govt under G.O.38.
Priority was provided according to the grade points scheduled to teachers working in 1 school for the last 8 years and 2 years and for those who are working in schools situated in unconnected areas.
About 26 head masters, 99 physical education, drawing & other teachers, 339 school assistants & 386 secondary grade teachers were shifted.
